Charissa Thompson
Thompson was fired from FOX Sports in 2010 and performed double duty as a host for both Versus and Yahoo Sports. She hosted Versus' NHL studio coverage and produced web-based content for the highly trafficked Yahoo platform. She was also responsible for its presence at some of the most prestigious events such as those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. Her success at these events led her to be hired by ESPN to be one of the hosts in the new afternoon program called "Numbers Never lie," which premiered in August. The show was a part of"SportsNation" in the summer of 2012 "SportsNation" channel in the month of July. It was a huge success, and she stayed on until the end of May 2013 after which she returned in Los Angeles to launch FS1. Thompson is an avid athlete, and she has shown the flexibility needed for her to transition into the entertainment industry. After several temporary opportunities and promotions, she was appointed a permanent co-host for the evening Hollywood newsmagazine "Extra," in June 2014. In her role the magazine filmed its segments at Universal Studios while also staffing the awards show and other celeb gatherings on a regular basis.
