Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28, 1967) is an American performer and actress. Wuhrer first began her acting career when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. There are three brothers and sisters. In her teens she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American model and actress, was born in Brookfield, Connecticut on the 28th of April 1967. Born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April her birthplace, she was raised there. Her mother is a payroll accountant and her father, a German-American, is a policeman and auto salesperson. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. In her teens, she performed in nightclubs by slipping away to do so. When she was 13 years old, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. Later, she began her studies in drama at Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari stepped into acting as a teenager, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
