Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American actress, fashion designer and model. She began her modeling career in 1990. Soon after, she moved to acting following appearances in television shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her first film appearance was on 1997's thriller Nowhere. Her performance in American Beauty, for which she received the BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more interest. In 2000, she starred with her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. Then, she played the leading role on the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, a 2002 independent drama film, as well as Trauma (2004) thriller were also featured in her career. She also appeared in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble.
