Kelly Clarkson has been a musician and singer in the United States for more than twenty years. She took home American Idol during the first season. The show's victory that brought Kelly Clarkson to fame and fortune, but it also secured her an agreement in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. In the years since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. Three of those albums made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums came close to reaching the top position. Her name is one of the most well-known artists that are emerging from American Idol. To be successful she experimented with different musical styles, and explored themes. Her uniqueness and vocal abilities earned her critical praise, as well as several prestigious prizes. The Grammy Award is her most prestigious recognition. Apart from her professional career in music, she's also been featured on film and television. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been a part of numerous charities.
