Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were two of the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is a popular American country and bluegrass singer. As a teenager, she began her journey into the music world winning local competitions as early as 10 years old, and recorded her debut album at fourteen years of age. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and made her debut single album, a solo one in the year 1987. She was invited to join the group with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album with them as a group in the year 1989.
